Review by hotel critic
During my recent city break in Amman, I had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza, where I was immediately impressed by the professional and warm welcome from the staff-a much-needed comfort after our long journey. Our room was spacious, featuring a cozy seating area and amenities that catered to both leisure and work needs, creating an inviting retreat after exploring the historic sites of this vibrant city. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the rooftop bar, Black Iris, which offered an incredible 270-degree view of the city along with mouthwatering dishes that beautifully blended Middle Eastern and Western cuisines. Sharing mezze and fried halloumi while watching the sunset truly felt magical, especially in such an atmospheric setting. We also took advantage of the spa facilities; although the warmth of the pool and jacuzzi was initially surprising, it eventually became quite enjoyable, making it a fantastic way to unwind after our adventures. With plenty of takeaways nearby and the downtown area just a short taxi ride away, the location was conveniently perfect for immersing ourselves in the local culture without straying too far from the comforts of our hotel.
